Introduction to the journal:
The Korean Language in America is the official, peer-reviewed scholarly journal of the American Association of Teachers of Korean (AATK). The mission of The Korean Language in America is to advance theoretical understandings of Korean as a second and heritage language as well as educational practices and policies in all situations, including K to 12, higher education and community institutions. The journal serves as a professional forum for educators and researchers for presenting, discussing and evaluating a variety of data, materials, analyses and perspectives as they pertain to the teaching and learning of Korean. It is indexed in both Scopus and Web of Science. The journal welcomes contributions from around the world and is NOT limited to research on Korean topics in an American context.
Introduction to the journal:
Korean Linguistics, the journal of the International Circle of Korean Linguistics, publishes peer-reviewed, scholarly articles at the cutting edge of Korean linguistics, a field of growing importance in virtually all branches of linguistics (syntax, semantics, phonology, phonetics, sociolinguistics, discourse-pragmatics, historical linguistics). The scope of the journal extends to work on Korean linguistics in all of the subareas of linguistics. Emphasis will be given to articles on Korean of import to general and theoretical linguistics, but significant work on, for example, the history of Korean and the Korean writing system will also be considered for publication. Book reviews, remarks on special occasions, obituaries, etc. may be included. The journal also welcomes contribution from Korean pedagogy or any other Korean language related research.
